Precautions for the storage of bearings

1. Before bearing leaves the factory

Bearings are coated with an appropriate amount of antirust oil and packed in antirust paper when leaving the factory. As long as the packaging is not damaged, the quality of bearings will be guaranteed.

However, for long-term storage, it is advisable to store it on a shelf 30cm above the ground under the condition of temperature below 65% and temperature of about 20 degrees Celsius. In addition, {TodayHot} storage places should be kept away from direct sunlight or contact with cold walls.

2. Installation of bearings

Precautions before installation

1) Preparation of bearings

Because the bearing has been rust-proof and packed, do not open the package until it is installed.

In addition, the anti-rust oil coated on bearings has good lubrication performance. For general purpose bearings or bearings filled with grease, they can be used directly without cleaning. But for instrument bearings or bearings used for high-speed rotation, the application of clean cleaning oil to wash the anti-rust oil, then the bearing is easy to rust, can not be placed for a long time.

2) Inspection of shaft and shell

Clean the bearing and housing to make sure there are no scars or burrs left by machining. The shell must not have abrasive (SiC, Al2O3, etc.) sand, chips, etc.

Secondly, check whether the size, shape and processing quality of shaft and shell are consistent with the drawings. Bearing steel should have good wear resistance. Before installing the bearing, apply mechanical oil to the mating surface of the inspected shaft and shell.

Installation method of bearings

1. The installation method of bearings varies according to bearing types and mating conditions.

2. Since it is usually axial rotation, interference fit and clearance fit can be used for the inner ring and outer ring respectively, while interference fit is used for the outer ring when the outer ring is rotating.

(1) Pressing installation

Pressing installation generally uses a press, can also be used bolts and nuts, if necessary, can be used hand hammer into the installation.

(2) Hot sleeve installation

The hot sleeve method, in which the bearing is heated in oil to expand and then installed on the shaft, can avoid unnecessary external forces and complete installation in a short time. Service life bearing steel must have high contact fatigue strength.

Heating precautions:

1) General heating should not exceed 100 degrees Celsius.

2) Bearings are not allowed to contact the bottom of the oil tank. In addition, induction heating can also be used for hot sleeve installation.
